The General office

The General office of Qinghai Province People's Government is an organ dealing with routine secretarial and administrative work for Qinghai Province People's Government. Under the leadership of general secretary of the provincial government, the General Office of Qinghai Province People's Government participates in handling government affairs, gives play to giving advice and assistant's function; and serves for leadership, organs, and basic units.

The major duties of the General Office of Qinghai province People's Government are:

1. According to the central work of the provincial government and the requirements of the leadership of the provincial government during different periods, to organize investigation and study, master information, reflect situations in time, and put forward suggestions.

2. To handle the daily documents and telegrams of Qinghai Province People's Government and the General Office of Qinghai Province People's Government. To draft documents for the provincial government or the General Office of the provincial government.

3. To be responsible for making arrangements for the meeting called by the provincial government, and to assist the leadership of the provincial government in organizing the implementation of the matters decided on at the conferences.

4. To be responsible for the organization of important activities of the provincial government and important internal and external affairs schedule of the leadership of the provincial government.

5. To study and examine the matters reported by various departments under the provincial government and the district or county people's governments to the provincial government with request for instructions, and put forward implementation suggestions to the leadership of the provincial government for examination and approval. To be responsible for handling the written opinions from the deputies to the Provincial Congress and assisting in separately handling the motions from the Provincial Political Consultative Conference.

6. According to the instructions of leadership of the provincial government and requirement of handling documents, to organize the coordination work.

7. To be responsible for the guidance of the information work of government affairs at all levels of the whole province and the construction of office automation for the administrative system.

8. To supervise and urge all departments under the provincial government and the district or county people's governments to implement the important documents from the State Council and the provincial government; the matters decided on the provincial government meetings, and the important instructions by the leadership of the provincial government, and to inspect the relevant situations, reflect situations in time, and put forward suggestions.

9. To undertake other matters assigned by the leadership of the provincial government.
