Overseas investors willing to help rejuvenate the rustbelt in China's northeastern region will be very welcome in six fields.

Top of the list is reform of state-owned enterprises, said Zhang Wenyue, governor of Liaoning Province, during a provincial meeting of overseas investors held in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province, on Tuesday.

As an old industrial base, Liaoning faced an arduous task in reforming its state-owned enterprises, admitted Zhang.

"Investors who take part in the reform of state-owned enterprises here can achieve a win-win and create mutual benefits," said Zhang. He promised that an array of new policies regarding subjects such as tax arrears and asset swaps in state-owned enterprises would soon be promulgated.

The other five fields on the list are development of an offshore economic belt, scientific innovation, development of a modern service economy, infrastructure construction, and construction of economic development zones.
