HK allows non-permanent residents to apply for extension of stay online

The Immigration Department of the HKSAR government said Wednesday six categories of non-permanent Hong Kong residents can now submit applications for extension of stay via the Internet.

The six categories are as follows:

-- People admitted under the General Employment Policy, or their dependents.

-- People admitted under the Admission Scheme for China's Mainland Talents and Professionals, or their dependents.

-- People admitted under the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates, or their dependents.

-- People admitted under the Supplementary Labor Scheme.

-- People on student status, or their dependents, or dependents of Hong Kong permanent residents, or dependents of Hong Kong residents who are not subject to a limit of stay, that is, residents with the right to land or on unconditional stay.
