Northeast China's Jilin Province will present 762 projects to attract foreign investment in the First Northeast Asia Investment and Trade Expo scheduled to be held from Sept. 2 to 6 in Changchun, capital of Jilin, the organizer said Tuesday.
These projects mainly cover the industries of manufacturing, petroleum, chemical, farm produce processing, medicine, information, energy, metallurgy, textile, and tourism, according to Wang Ligang, deputy director of the Investment Promotion Department with the Executive Committee of the trade expo.
Wang said Jilin has improved a lot its environments for investment in the past few years. "This trade expo will offer an international platform for Jilin to expand its cooperation with other countries and regions."
The trade expo is co-sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the Office of the Leading Group of Revitalizing the Old Industrial Base in Northeast China under the State Council, and the Jilin provincial government.
So far, more than 20,000 business people, including some 30 CEOs of global top 500 corporations, have signed up for the trade expo.
These participants mainly come from northeast and southeast Asia, Europe and America, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
