The photo taken on June 23, 2006 shows an aerial view of mountains and lakes in Shannan Prefecture of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. Tibet Autonomous Region, with the average altitude above 4,000 meters, will be linked with the rest of China by Qinghai-Tibet railway which set to launch its maiden run on July 1.
